The colorful history of Mallorca can be viewed from the numerous local museums in each town. There are archaeological museums which house pre-historical as well as Paleo-Christian objects. There is Petra which is the birthplace of a famous monk, Fray Junipero Serra who founded missions in California today. There is the 17th century monastery as well as the Nuestra Señora de Bonany hermitage to be viewed.

Artá is a very interesting town that offers plenty of ancient monuments; it has castles, palaces, monasteries and museums that house invaluable pre-historical objects. There are important megalythical epoch findings at Ses Paises.

Natural beauties

Nature loving tourists would enjoy the many beautiful natural attractions around Mallorca villa costa brava such as the natural caves of Cuevas de Drach which has a subterranean lake.
